I’m a writer and editor based in Brooklyn, New York. My work has appeared in New York Magazine, Interview, Elle, Cultured, and other places. I write about all aspects of culture: art, film, music, style, and the intersection between them all. I’m endlessly fascinated by artists of all kinds; I’ve interviewed everyone from Seth Rogen to Jane Birkin, Tom Morello to Jia Tolentino.

Prior to going freelance, I worked as an editor at Andy Warhol’s Interview, Graydon Carter’s Air Mail, New York’s The Cut, where I was also the “Morning Writer” covering politics and celebrity news, and Prior, a luxury travel agency and online publication. I have also contributed writing and served as the Associate Editor for Distinct, the in-room publication for the Montage and Pendry Hotels. I’m an avid traveler with an eye for holes in the wall, diamonds in the rough, and whatever other metaphor you’d like to use for places that should be more crowded than they are. I like to focus my travel stories on local communities, local legends, and local businesses that remain grounded in tradition even as they push it forward.

I hold an MFA in Fiction Writing from New York University. I currently have two novels in progress. In my fiction, I aim to build vivid real worlds with a sharp eye and comedic voice, focusing on memorable characters who are as hyper self-aware as they are clueless. Whatever form I’m working in, my interests lie in the niche and delightfully unexpected.

When I’m not working, I like going to film screenings, seeing punk shows, and spending time with my dog Linus.
